AgraStrip® Walnut is a lateral flow system to detect Walnut residue in foods, rinse waters and environmental swabs.
Description

The Walnut is a seed very high in protein and essential fatty acids from trees within the Juglandaceae family. The Walnut seed is used within the food industry for it's flavour and is used as a ingredient in cakes, biscuits, and confectionary. Walnut oil is also used as an ingredient in products such as salad dressing.

The consumption of Walnuts to a group of people within the community can trigger an allergic reaction causing symptoms from a slight skin reaction through to potentially fatal anaphylaxis. Susceptible people must follow a very strict exclusion diet and take care reading food labels / allergen declarations. Therefore it is imperative that food manufacturers declare the presence of Walnut on product labels.

AgraStrip® Walnut is an immunological rapid test in a lateral flow format which offers food manufacturers and laboratories an onsite method to detect the presence of walnut residue in foods, rinse waters and environmental swabs. Results are obtained within 11 minutes enabling swift corrective action when circumstances arise.
