RIDA®QUICK Gliadin

With the RIDA®QUICK Gliadin dip stick food, samples with a concentration smaller than 2.5 ppm gliadin (corresponds to 5 ppm gluten) are found negative. The test should only be used for samples with low gliadin concentration.

The extraction and test procedure should be carried out in separate rooms, in order to avoid cross-contamination by cereal durst. During the assay gloves should be worn and glass vials should be rinsed with ethanol (60 %) before use.

Specifications

20 reaction strips (one for each determination)

Detection limit: food samples with a concentration smaller than 2.5 ppm gliadin (corresponds to 5 ppm gluten) are found negative.

Incubation time: 5 min

Sample preparation:  homogenization and extraction

Result: visual interpretation

How to use

The test kit contains 20 reaction strips (one for each determination), 20 disposable pipettes, 20 test tubes and a sample dilution buffer (60 mL; 5x concentrated).

For food analysis, 0.5 mL of sample dilution buffer are placed in the test tube. The 0.05 mL of sample extracted added to the test tube. The dip stick is placed vertically with the arrow end into the tube. After 5 minutes the dip stick is taken out and the result is read immediately without further manipulation.

Beside food analysis the dip stick can also be used as a swab test. In a swab test a sampling area of 10 x 10 cm is swabbed with a dry dip stick.

Thereafter, the dip stick is inserted into a tube containing the diluted sample dilution buffer. After 5 min the results can be read.
