Diarrhetic Shellfish Poisoning (DSP) |
Diarrhetic shellfish poisoning (DSP) was first described in Japan as a new kind of a seafood disease. This is caused by eating mussels or scallops which are contaminated by poisonous plankton. At present, these poisons in shellfish are detected by bioassays using a large number of mice, which are very laborious and time consuming. The DSP-Check enables more simple, easy and time saving detection of OA and (DTX1). |
